What I bought with my $5/$25 coupon at Walgreens
-4 packages Keebler cookies - they were on sale for $2.50 each and if you bought $10 worth you got a $5 register reward (RR). I had 2-$1/2 coupons. (printable HERE or from the 8/2 RP insert)
-2 packages kids toothbrushes - $2 each
-2 packages (3 pack) Orbitz gum - clearanced - $2.19 each
-2 Listerene Berry Rinse for Kids - they were on sale for $4 each and if you bought 2 you get a $3 RR. I had a coupon for buy one get one free (BOGO) and a $1 coupon found here (BOGO manufacturer coupon from 8/2 SS insert)
-2 Reach toothbrushs and 1 Reach floss - they were originally $1.79. In the Walgreens flyer they had a coupon marking them to $.99 - limit 3. I had a BOGO free, plus 2-$1 coupons (8/2 SS insert)
-1 Walgreens brand childrens Ibuprofen - $4.99
-2 Carmex - they were BOGO - $2.99 (I thought I had a coupon for this, but couldn't find it)
-Pepto Bismol - $3.99
I had $3 in RR from my last visit. I used my $5/$25 coupon.
Here's the breakdown:
Total before taxes $43.63
WAG coupon savings $2.40
WAG Advertised savings $15.37
MFG coupon savings $22.32
Total savings $31.56
Total spent $22.32
RR earned for next time $8
Amount I'll get reimbursed through flexible spending acount (FSA) - $11.97
YAHOO!!
I was disppointed that they were sold out of Huggies wipes because I had some coupons.
And I had heard rumors that some of the children's Zyrtec was being clearanced and ringing up at $3.19 at some stores, but at mine they were ringing up at $12.99. Plus if you buy 2 Zyrtc products right now you get a $5 RR. If you want to read more about it and get a $3 coupon for Zyrtec products, check out Tracy's blog at $1200 Frugal Challange 2009.
Oh well, I still did pretty good!
I didn't take a picture. Next time I will try to remember!

Swagbucks

My family is slowly getting the hang of swagbucks. I have to remind my husband to use it, but when he does, he's thrilled with how many swagbucks he gets! Our goal is to buy a Wii for Christmas with what we have earned using swagbucks.
Haven't ever heard of swagbucks? Well, it's a search engine that pays you to search! Pretty cool, huh?
All you do is sign up here.
Then, make sure to go to swagbucks.com every day! You don't just have to use it for searching. Use it to get to your favorite sites like yahoo, the bank, my blog! You won't earn a swagbuck for each search, but I usually earn 1-3 by the 4th search every day!
It only takes 45 swagbucks to get a $5 gift card to Amazon!
Awesome, huh???
Caregivers Marketplace

Do you buy Huggies diapers or pull ups? Depends or Poise pads? How about Aspercreme or Icy Hot? Balmex?
Sign up here and you can receive cash back for most of these items.
Plus there are many more products listed!

Walgreens has another $5/$25 coupon. You can use it through Saturday, August 29.

Sports anyone?
Does anyone else have kids that play sports? I have two! Kyler plays baseball and Kaden is starting tball this year. We like to show our support by wearing team t-shirts!
Kyler is on the Indians this year and Kaden is going to be on the Rangers!
Team shirts aren't cheap. And the ones we can get buy thru the team aren't great quality. So after some internet searching I ordered 4 shirts online.
I ordered them through footballfanatics.com. If you go through ebates you could get 5% cash back on your purchase. I also used the promo code ffsportsgear10 to get 10% off. Shipping is only $4.99 for the entire order.
Not bad!

Rice Dream rice milk at Albertsons
My local Albertsons had $1/4 peelies on their Rice Dream rice milk. Still a little costly at $3.69 per 32 oz carton, but every little bit helps! And since my youngest has started having some issues with cows milk and has decided he likes rice milk better...we go thru a lot of rice milk.
CVS
I'm usually more of a Walgreen's shopper, but CVS has their Huggies diapers/pullup on sale so I looked a little more closely to their ad this week.
First of all, go here and take a short quiz and you'll receive a $5 coupon off $25. You can print it immediately!
They have their Huggies diapers on sale for 2/$18 and then if you buy two you'll get a $4.00 Extra Buck Reward (ECB) to use on your next visit - limit one. I have two coupons from my Huggies packages each worth $3.00 off. You might be able to get coupons here.
My dog wears a diaper every night and we use Poise pads in them. CVS has Poise pads on sale for $11.99 and you get a $2.00 Extra Care Rewards to use on your next visit -limit 5. You can get $2.00 coupons here.
Then they have Bic Soleil Razor (1 pack) or cartridges (4 pack) on sale for $6.99 and get a $3 ECB - limit one. There is a $3.00 coupon in the Smart Source coupon book in yesterdays newspaper (SS 8/9).
And one last deal that I plan on taking advantage of is Coppertone's Nutrashield sunscreen. It works GREAT. They have it on sale for $8.99 and you get $2.00 ECB's. Here is a coupon for $5.00 off.
There are lots of other things on sale too. Check out Thrify Mama's site for more deals!
Happy shopping!

Enjoy Life Foods

One of the first snacks Kaden was able to eat after being diagnosed with food allergies was Enjoy Life Foods!
Mambo Sprouts has a $1.25 coupon off two products HERE.
Also you can find a .55 cent coupon HERE.
You can find Enjoy Life Foods at Whole Foods Market and my Kroger carries most of their products as well. If you like to buy in bulk, amazon.com sells a lot of their foods.
Turtle Mountain Coconut Ice-Cream

I feel like I've hit the jackpot tonight! Not only did I find rice milk coupons, but here's a coupon for Kaden's favorite ice-cream.
The coupon is good for $1 off any Turtle Mountain Purely Decadent or So Delicious ice-cream or refrigerated product! If you haven't tried the coconut milk yogurt, try it, it's yummy!!!
If you too are dealing with allergies, here are the ingredients in the chocolate flavored coconut milk ice-cream.
INGREDIENTS: ORGANIC COCONUT MILK, ORGANIC AGAVE SYRUP, CHICORY ROOT EXTRACT, COCOA (PROCESSED WITH ALKALI), CAROB BEAN GUM, GUAR GUM, NATURAL FLAVOR.
They do process peanut, tree nut and dairy products, but we have been pleased with their level of quality control. This statement is on their website and on their packages.
Turtle Mountain applies strict quality control measures in an effort to prevent contamination by undeclared food allergens. To assure our preventative measures are effective, we sample test our product for the presence of gluten, dairy, peanut and almond allergens using state of the art testing methods.
Rice Dream coupons

My 4 year old was diagnosed with food allergies when he was 16 months old. He's allergic to peanuts, dairy, eggs, wheat and soy. He's outgrown his allergy to corn...thank goodness.
His food can become very expensive so I'm always very excited when I find coupons!!!
He drinks Rice Dream enriched rice milk. He's also had the chocolate and vanilla, but he prefers the plain, with a little chocolate or strawberry syrup mixed in at home. He also eats the Rice Dream vanilla ice-cream.
Click HERE to get a .75 cents off!
And this week the shelf stable 32 oz cartons are on sale for 2/$6 at KROGER.
