What I bought with my $5/$25 coupon at Walgreens

-4 packages Keebler cookies - they were on sale for $2.50 each and if you bought $10 worth you got a $5 register reward (RR). I had 2-$1/2 coupons. (printable HERE or from the 8/2 RP insert)

-2 packages kids toothbrushes - $2 each

-2 packages (3 pack) Orbitz gum - clearanced - $2.19 each

-2 Listerene Berry Rinse for Kids - they were on sale for $4 each and if you bought 2 you get a $3 RR. I had a coupon for buy one get one free (BOGO) and a $1 coupon found here (BOGO manufacturer coupon from 8/2 SS insert)

-2 Reach toothbrushs and 1 Reach floss - they were originally $1.79. In the Walgreens flyer they had a coupon marking them to $.99 - limit 3. I had a BOGO free, plus 2-$1 coupons (8/2 SS insert)

-1 Walgreens brand childrens Ibuprofen - $4.99

-2 Carmex - they were BOGO - $2.99 (I thought I had a coupon for this, but couldn't find it)

-Pepto Bismol - $3.99

I had $3 in RR from my last visit. I used my $5/$25 coupon.

Here's the breakdown:

Total before taxes $43.63
WAG coupon savings $2.40
WAG Advertised savings $15.37
MFG coupon savings $22.32
Total savings $31.56
Total spent $22.32
RR earned for next time $8
Amount I'll get reimbursed through flexible spending acount (FSA) - $11.97

YAHOO!!

I was disppointed that they were sold out of Huggies wipes because I had some coupons.

And I had heard rumors that some of the children's Zyrtec was being clearanced and ringing up at $3.19 at some stores, but at mine they were ringing up at $12.99. Plus if you buy 2 Zyrtc products right now you get a $5 RR. If you want to read more about it and get a $3 coupon for Zyrtec products, check out Tracy's blog at $1200 Frugal Challange 2009.

Oh well, I still did pretty good!

I didn't take a picture. Next time I will try to remember!
